Planned Giving
What Is a Planned Gift?
Make a big impact with a future gift.
Did you know that you or someone you love can list The Parish School as a beneficiary in your estate plans?
If you would like to extend your support of The Parish School to make a lasting impact, there are several gift arrangements from which to choose.
Whether you would like to support our work today or benefit us after your lifetime, you can find a charitable plan that lets you provide for your family and support The Parish School. Here are some of the most popular charitable plans to consider:
Remember us in your will.
Structure your will to provide for your family first. Then, include a gift to the charitable organizations you love. You can consider a percentage of your estate or a specific gift amount. Just a few simple sentences and a meeting with an estate planning attorney are all it takes.
Make a gift and receive fixed payments for life.
If you’d like to support The Parish School and receive steady payments for life, a charitable gift annuity may be right for you.
Donate stocks.
If you give stocks you’ve owned for more than one year that are worth more than when you purchased them, you’ll qualify for significant tax advantages.
Give retirement plan assets.
Consider making The Parish School a beneficiary of a percentage of your retirement plan assets. Then, leave less heavily taxed assets to your loved ones.
Arrange a charitable trust.
With a charitable remainder trust, you can receive income each year (either fixed or variable) from assets you place in the trust. After your lifetime, the balance in the trust goes to the charities of your choice.
Use life insurance to make a gift.
There are several ways you can use life insurance to give back to The Parish School, such as naming the school as one of your beneficiaries. We can help you explore your options.

The Oak Society
The Parish School’s Planning Giving Membership Recognition Group*
Established in 2021, The Oak Society honors donors who have provided for The Parish School in their estate plans. Any planned gift qualifies for membership. These gifts significantly strengthen The Parish School by providing a fiscal cornerstone for the school’s long-range plans and its ability to serve future generations of children who have communication delays and learning differences. The Oak Society members will help guarantee that The Parish School will remain a place where children don’t just grow, but thrive!
Qualifying gifts include, but are not limited to, will bequests, charitable remainder trusts, charitable gift annuities, life insurance policies, retirement accounts or real estate. Majority of planned gifts to The Parish School will be placed in our endowment fund* unless otherwise directed by the donor, where the principle of the gift will remain and earnings from the interest will be spent according to the donor’s wishes. Most endowment earnings are earmarked for tuition assistance or faculty professional development.
