Our Whole-Child Approach to Education
Our Whole-Child Approach to Education
Integrated Speech Therapy
Therapy is foundational at Parish. Our speech-language pathologists are core to the classroom, delivering up to 15 hours of group language therapy per week for early childhood students, and up to 7 hours weekly for elementary students. Our immersive approach builds skills and makes communication a natural part of learning.
Learning Immersed in Nature
Every classroom opens to its own private outdoor learning space. Our sprawling, nature-based campus provides daily therapeutic and sensory benefits, offering a calming and engaging environment for students who need sensory support, such as those with ADHD or autism.
Low Class Ratios
With a student-to-adult ratio of 5:1 or less, your child will get plenty of individualized attention. Our integrated support teams adapt learning and offer support in real-time, helping children learn to navigate with dyslexia, apraxia, or any of the many learning differences we serve.
Social & Emotional Growth
Our whole-child approach is a school-wide model. We incorporate intervention strategies that build skills across developmental areas to promote successful group learning, self-regulation, independence and resilience. Counselors are on-hand for immediate, in-classroom support. This can be crucial for many children with special needs, including those with autism or anxiety, as they learn to navigate social cues and build friendships.
Arts & Sciences
Our full-time specialists inspire critical thinking and creativity through music, theater, art, library access, and physical education. Your student can explore powerful avenues for communication and self-expression.
On-Site Pediatric Clinic
Eliminate the stress of driving across Houston for additional therapy appointments. The Carruth Center offers assessments and a range of specialized therapies for students of all ages. Appointments can be woven into the school day or after school. Clinic therapists collaborate directly with educators to maximize your child’s learning potential.
