Grandparents’ Day at The Parish School
We are excited to share details for our upcoming Grandparent events at The Parish School – and you are invited to participate whether you live near or far!
This year events will consist of an online Grandparent Adult Education Presentation on Wednesday, November 1, followed by Grandparents’ Day on Friday, November 3. More information on each event is below.
November 1, 2023
Virtual Grandparent Adult Education Presentation
Preceding Grandparents’ Day, Mimi Branham of The Carruth Center and Lily Yoder of The Parish School will host a virtual Grandparent Education Presentation “Being the Grandparent of a Special Needs Child” on Wednesday, November 1 at 9 a.m. Whether you are new to Parish or have attended this presentation before, this is a great opportunity for grandparents to learn more about how to support your grandchild and child. This event will be online only and you do not need to register for this event, just visit the link below at 9 a.m. on November 1
Friday, November 3
Grandparents’ Day on Campus
We will host our annual Grandparents’ Day on Friday, November 3. Grandparents and Special Friends are invited to join us for gardening, campus tours, photos, and more. All of the details can be found below, but please know that you do not have to participate in gardening to attend. This is a fun on-campus event that you do not want to miss!
There are two RSVP options below for this event, one for Early Childhood and one for Elementary. Please RSVP for your grandchild’s level and include their name alongside your name in the registration “name” box so we know who your grandchild is.
This event is outside. Feel free to bring a picnic blanket as seating is limited.
Grandparents’ Day Schedule:
Elementary
- 7:50 – 8:20 a.m. – Elementary Grandparents Garden Group with grandchildren
- 8:20 – 8:50 a.m. – Pastries & pictures
- 8:55- 9:55 a.m. – Campus tours
Early Childhood
- 10:15 – 11:15 a.m. – Campus tours
- 11:15- 11:30 a.m.– Early Childhood Garden Group with grandchildren
- 11:30 a.m. – noon: Lunch (bring your own lunch), Ice Cream & Pictures
*You do not have to garden to participate. You are welcome to join for just the tour and pastries or lunch (depending on age group).
