SUMMARY:November PTO Meeting & Open Board Meeting
DESCRIPTION:This month’s PTO meeting will be an abbreviated 30 minute meeting and then we will adjourn and join the Open Board Meeting. \nPTO meting will start at 10:30am. \nOpen Board Meeting will be from 11 am  – noon. \nThe Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) of The Parish School provides a platform for relationship building\, support and volunteering. All parents of Parish students are members of PTO. Grandparents and other adult family members are also welcomed to become involved. Meetings are typically held on campus the first Friday of each month at 11 a.m. \n\n\n\n\nThe Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) of The Parish School provides a platform for relationship building\, support and volunteering. Grandparents and other adult family members are also welcomed to become involved. \nThe Parish PTO supports the school’s mission to educate children who have communication delays and learning differences\, empowering them with the tools to succeed. It does this by: \n\nenriching the experience of children and families at The Parish School\nencouraging parent involvement;\n\n\nsupporting the advancement of the school through outreach\, fundraisers and community-building\n\n\ndeepening the connection of families to The Parish School\n\n\nvolunteering.\n\nPTO leadership is comprised of a president\, vice president and several chairs of various volunteer and fundraising initiatives throughout the year. \nWe would love to welcome and get to know you. \nWe’d love to see you in person\, but if you can’t make it to campus\, please join us virtually. DESCRIPTION:Grandparents’ Day at The Parish School\n\n\n\nFriday\, November 21 \nGrandparents’ Day on Campus\n \n\nGrandparents and Special Friends are invited to join us for Grandparents’ Day at The Parish School. This is a fun on-campus event that you do not want to miss! The day will include campus tours and classroom visits followed by an optional picnic lunch (bring your own lunch and picnic blanket). Upon arrival\, please check in at the front office.  \nPre-registering will expedite check-in. \n \nGrandparents’ Day Schedule: \n9:15 a.m. – Check-in opens (depending on what you choose to attend\, you can come as early as 9:15 a.m. or as late as 11 a.m.) Pastries and coffee will be available in the courtyard.9:30 a.m. – Adult Education: Understanding Your Grandchild’s Needs and Supporting their Journey. In person at The Schissler Library or virtual.See below for more information on talk.10:30 a.m – Campus tours11 a.m. – Visit your grandchild’s classroom11:30 a.m. – Bring your own picnic lunch (optional). This will be outdoors and seating is limited\, so please bring a blanket or camp chair to sit on. You are also welcome to check your grandchild out for the day\, but please let the teacher know you are leaving. \n \nAdult Education – Grandparents’ Day Special Edition \n \n\n\n\n\nGrandparents are special and important people in their grandchildren’s lives! Come learn more about how to support your grandchild’s needs while assisting your own child as they navigate parenting a child who learns differently.  \nYou can attend this talk either in person or virtually if you cannot make it to campus.
