DESCRIPTION:Book Fair  |  Adult Education Presentation  |  Dictionary Day  |  Go Texan Day\n*RSVP for the Adult Education: Reading for Pleasure\, Pleasure to Read is at the bottom of this page \nDuring Book Fair Week (Tuesday\, February 21-Friday\, February 24) parents can purchase books for their children or for teacher wish lists. Parents are asked to visit the library only during morning drop-off or afternoon pick-up to purchase books.  \n			\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Volunteers\n				We are in need of volunteers to help in the library during Book Fair. Please click here to view volunteer roles and to sign-up. \n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Dictionary Day\n				Wednesday\, February 22Dress up as a word from the dictionary \n\nThe purpose of Dictionary Day is to celebrate literacy and expand vocabulary in an exciting and innovative way. We are asking families to help their child choose an interesting word\, then “wear” their word to school. The word can come from a favorite book. No need to buy anything\, just be creative! Please make sure your child’s word and costume are appropriate for all ages.\n\nWhat to do? \nWrite the word and a simple definition on an index card and pin the card to your outfit (or paint the word and definition on an old t-shirt). Then\, the student dresses as the word. \n\nExamples of Words?\nFew – use duct tape to and tape on a few circles\nEnchanted – wear a princess crown\nPatriotic – wear red\, white and blue\n\nIf you have questions\, please email Laura Causey\n  \n			\n				\n				\n				\n				\n				Adult Education: Reading for Pleasure\, Pleasure to Read\n				Thursday\, February 23\, 9:30 a.m. \nPresented by Elementary Reading Specialist Meagan Rosales\, M.Ed. and Early Childhood Educator Elsie Torres-Verdejo M.Ed.  \nCome spend time with the reading specialists on campus to navigate specific books from the book fair.
